A bus full of Austrian travellers crashed in Croatia on Wed., but no one got wounded.
The bus full of Austrians was heading to Medjugorje, Bosnia and Herzegovina when it smashed into a fence along the highway close to Sestanovac in southern Croatia. There were 47 travellers on the bus.
Medjugorje marks the 30th anniversary since the apparition of the Virgin Mary to six college kids as reported tagza.com.
Medjugorje is one of the towns of the Western Herzegovina municipality of Citluk in the former Yugoslavia. The name Medjugorje is Slavic and means "area between two moutains". This true story happens in the Bijakovici section of Medjugorje. On the afternoon of June 24, 1981, two girls, Ivanka Ivankovic, age fifteen, and Mirjana Dragicevic, age sixteen, were coming home from a walk. Looking toward the hill called Crnica, Ivanka saw a bright silhouette of a girl. She revealed to Mirjana, "It is the Gospa!" (Our Lady).
On June twenty-five, the two girls returned to the hill with 4 others. Their names are, Vicka Ivankovic, age sixteen, Ivan Dragivevic, age sixteen, Maria Pavlovic, age sixteen and Jakov Colo, age 10. A figure in white was calling them to come up the hill. The kids were somehow transported in some mysterious way to a gorgeous Lady who calls herself, the Queen of Peace. The Lady gives messages to the seers for the whole world. To date, the Queen of Peace has left thousands of messages. At first, the messages were almost everyday. Now, for the last one or two years, they come on the 25th of every month.
The visionaries describe Our Lady as stunning beyond words ; radiant with holiness. Her chats with the youngsters have taken the form of motherly tenderness and love, and she has taken the task of both mother and catechist in advising and directing their lives. She greets them with, "Praised be Jesus, my dear children." At the end of the apparition she asserts, "Go in peace, my dear children." She appears to the 6 visionaries as a three-dimensional real image and always appears amid brilliant flashes of light.
Her appearances often happen about 6:40 pm every day. In Medjugorje, crowds of people come daily at this time to take part in the event with prayer, song, the rosary and the Mass, which is sometimes concelebrated by 30 or more priests. The whole evening service lasts about 3 hours. And this has been taking place daily since 1981!
All of the visionaries declare in substance :
We see the Sanctified Virgin as we see all of the folks. We pray, we speak with her and we touch her.
She stressed : "Peace in the world is in a state of crisis. Humankind must be reconciled with Almighty God and with one another."
She guarantees us she'll leave an observable sign at the place of the apparitions in Medjugorje, for all humanity.
The Sanctified Mum promised to confide strategies to us.
This time, this period of grace, is urgent. After the identifiable sign, those still living will have little time for conversion.
For that reason, the Sanctified Virgin invites us to urgent reconciliation and conversation.
The Sanctified Ma continues to invite us to prayer and fasting : "You have forgotten that with prayer and fasting you can stop a war from happening. You can postpone natural laws."
Our Lady started imparting secrets to the visionaries in Medjugorje awfully early on. She has informed the visionaries that each one of them would receive ten secrets. Our Lady has imparted these secrets to the 6 visionaries progressively over these past eighteen years. Three visionaries have received all ten, and subsequently, they have stopped having the daily apparition with Our Lady. The other 3 each have nine. The methods apply to the visionaries themselves, to the Church, to the sign, to all humanity, and to everyone, and to the whole world and to Medjugorje.
